Our History

Super Mambo acrobatic  troupe consists of Kenyan acrobats. It was formed in 1994 as Dandora Junior Acrobats as part of Nairobi City council community programs.  We competed in some N.C.C inter communial competitions. In 1995 we attained second position and first position in 1996.

In 1998 we joined D-Rocky group of artists and changed our name to D-Rocky Super Mambo ‘B’; under D-Rocky we got a lot of training and exposure. Our show consists of Gymnastics, Juggling, Perfect Balance, Hoops Diving, Chairs, Pole, Comedy and fire shows. 2001 we dropped the name D-Rocky and remained as Super Mambo Acrobats

In Kenya  we have performed in state functions, performed for  major companies  like KTN, Kencell, Safaricom , Kenya Airways and restaurants like International  Casino , Windsor , Splash Water World , Sports View Hotel , City Cabanas  and made daily shows under Safari Cats at Safari Park Hotel from 2003 till April 2004

In April 2004, our dream came true, we found an Italian Company (archipelago cicro teatro) through Sarakasi Trust organization which they offered us Circus job (Circo Massimo) in Rome. A month later we joined hands with another Italian theater company (pantakin da venezia) from Venice Italy, and made the production “creature” composing of Acrobatics blended with theatre.

The show has been a success with over 300 shows in major festivals and theaters in Italy, Belgium, Holland, France, Portugal, Spain, Austria, Hungary, Germany, Denmark, Poland and Republic de San Marino.

We have also participated different television programs in Kenyan, Holland and Italy.

Apart from performing, we have taught acrobatics to Good Seeds Children Home, Local boys in our community and French School of Nairobi.

In 2005 and 2006 we made acrobatic workshop in Venice and Milan respectively, taught acrobatics to Italian VIPs in the Program “Reality circus” Big Brother for two weeks .In February 2007 performed in the carnival of Venice, 2007 and 2008 performed in various festivals around Italy.

In February 2009 we Participated in the festival of clowns during the Milan Carnival, where we won “ The Audience's Great Prize” as the best entertaining group.

Our hope is to continue with our quality shows to the satisfaction of our spectators all over the world.  We believe we’ve got great potential and energy and the sky is our limit.
